A spigot plate is a flat steel plate fitted with a male spigot (pipe stub). The spigot is sized to match the pipe’s outside diameter allowing it to fit securely into a socket or coupling. An IL flanged spigot includes an integral lip for support and is spot-welded to the plate, creating a strong, durable pipe-to-plate connection. Designed for HVAC ducting, these plates ensure reliable airflow, easy installation, and compatibility with a wide range of duct systems.
The size of the spigot plate is based on the diameter of the spigot:
• For spigots up to 250mm diameter:
Plate size is calculated as spigot diameter + 100mm.
Example: A 200mm spigot will be supplied on a plate approximately 300mm x 300mm.
• For spigots 300mm diameter and above:
Plate size is calculated as spigot diameter + 150mm.
Example: A 300mm spigot will be supplied on a plate approximately 450mm x 450mm.
